Short History Of Selfie Crazyness

First, ''Selfie'' in the history of photography was recorded around 1839, which is one of the key years in the development of photography.it was made by one of the pioneers of photography, chemist Robert Cornelius from Philadelphia on the back of the photo is written '' first light image ever made,1839''. this self- portrait is also one of the first picture of the human figure . the success of this self-portrait even encouraged the younger Cornelius to open a photo shop. today, these photo's are stored in the library of congress in Washington.

With the help of ''smart'' phone, web camera or camera, daily millions of self-portraits occures in all possible situations , then this self-portraits are flooding social networks. Selfie is a term that the Oxford dictionary named '' word of the year 2013''

Today's Instagram-face book-twitter ''selfie'' has little to do with the artistic approach, they are banal photographs, often even in an unseemly posture, drunk, funny, sad, have current message, or are important for the moment they were created, as well as the reason they are added to the social network. ''selfie'' is to collect larges number of  ''likes'' and to attracts the attention of the people of the world. A larger number of ''likes'' generates higher self- esteem. That ''self '' mania gripped the world so hard that recently was opened ''selfie'' Olympics, which invited interested parties to submit crazy and dangerous ''selfies'' photographs.

Selfie - The cause of mental illness.

Selfies cause Narcissism, mental illnesses, Addiction and suicide?is it possible? that's what seems to be suggested by expert opinion surrounding the phenomenon and a man diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder says he grew suicidal due to his addiction to taking selfies. When Bowman failed to take what he perceived to be the perfect selfie, he attempted suicide by taking an overdose of drugs.

In my point of view Selfies may cause mental illness including body dysmorphic disorder which i learned in psychology subject, which has an extremely high suicide rate. Spending many hours on clicking selfies can be addicted its not only causes loss in drastic weight but also many ,mental illnesses, also a terrifying suicide attempt. Taking selfies can be detrimental to a person's mental health and that indulging in them is indicative of Narcissism, low self esteem, attention seeking behaviour and self indulgence. Most likely selfies cause a variety of troubling mental health issues. nowadays selfies raised a risk of narcissism. Really.. taking pictures too much may lead the person in a dangerous situation. In our generation today teenager or even adult had been exposed to many gadgets that giving them so much fun of.. Taking selfie is one of the many things happening right now. taking "selfie" everyday, hours, minuts ,second., are not good for us because it may cause addictions and mental illness etc.

TIPS FOR BETTER SELFIES.

There is no wrong way to take a selfie. The medium has grown into its own form of self expressions, and the artistic choices people make are as varied as the faces themselves.
To get the best possible shot out of a smart phone, use the higher resolution back facing camera. If you are using the front camera make sure you tear your eyes off yourself long enough to look into the lens for photo. If you hold the camera too close to your head you might experience some lens distortion, making your face and features look wider then they really are. Hold the camera far away from your face for the most flattering look, but the aware of that outstretched arms. if you change your posture to extend it too much, it can cause you to face the camera at the bad angle or make a straining face.
Distance is also necessary if you have to use the flash. Too close and you can blow out your features or temporarily blind yourself.

Side by side you have to check your background in the sense you are the star of your selfies but that doesn't mean you should ignore what's behind you, turn around and check out your background. be aware of potentially odd intersections like a beam or tree that would appear to be sticking out of your head. Look for potential photo bombers lurking about or a scene that would accidentally be a bad match for your cheerful, smiling face, like a funeral procession or house fire. Some of the most important thing for a selfie is that there should be a specific style or look for their self portraits.
